Make your very own Octopus Surprise Memory Game with this easy to follow pattern, filled with photos.

The big octopus can store up to 26 mini octopuses.


YOU’LL NEED:

- Crochet hook: 2.5 mm
- Yarn: I’ve used 8/4 cotton ply fingering weight (80 g dark grey for the big octopus, 50 g light grey for the small octopuses, 3 g in 8 different colors for the arms on the big octopus, 4 g white for the eyes and a little in 10-13 different colors for the spots underneath)
- Yarn needle
- Stuffing
- Stitch markers
- 2 x 6 mm safety eyes for the mini octopuses (you’re making 20-26 mini octopuses)
- 2 x 18 mm safety eyes


STITCHES YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Mr - magic ring
Sc - single crochet
Ch - chain
Slst - slip stitch
Hdc - half double crochet
Inc - increase
Dec - decrease


SIZE:

The big octopus will be 10 cm / 4 in and the small octopuses 3 cm / 1 in if you use same yarn and hook size as me. You can use other sizes and/or yarn if you want a bigger or smaller result.

Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, magic ring, single crochet, increase, (invisible) decrease, half double crochet, back loops only, front loops only
Measurement: The big octopus will be 10 cm / 4 in and the small octopuses 3 cm / 1 in
