Have you ever wondered how Santa can carry so many presents in that small bag? The truth is; He can't! It's all a media hoax, because the truth is not something you'd want to tell small children.

But here's the true story!

When you make cookies for Santa, you unintentionally put all your hopes and desires into the cookie dough. When Santa eats the cookies, he poops out the gift you wished for.

There has been some rather disturbing presents under the trees over the time, but I won't get into that...

Santa can store a bunch of cookies in his mouth and 2 presents in the butt. You can also store small gifts inside him like jewelry and ask the kids to put their wish list inside his mouth.

YOU’LL NEED:

- Crochet hook: 2.5 mm
- Yarn: I’ve used 8/4 cotton - super fine weight (170 m / 50 g) (37 g red, 15 g white, 6 g black, 30 g cream, 3 g purple, 3 g blue, 2 g mustard, 2 g light brown per cookie and 1 g brown)
- Yarn needle
- Stuffing
- Stitch markers
- 18 mm safety eyes


STITCHES YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Mr - magic ring
Sc - single crochet
Ch - chain
Slst - slip stitch
Hdc - half double crochet
Sc3tog - single crochet 3 stitches together (insert hook in 1st st - yarn over and pull yarn through - insert hook in 2nd st - yarn over and pull yarn through - insert hook in 3rd st - yarn over and pull yarn through - yarn over and pull yarn through all 4 loops)
Bo - bobble stitch with 6 loops on the hook
Inc - increase
Dec - decrease


SIZE:

Santa will be 19 cm / 7.5 in if you use same yarn and hook size as me. You can use other sizes and/or yarn if you want a bigger or smaller result.

Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, magic ring, single crochet, increase, (invisible) decrease, half double crochet, bobble stitch, invisibly decrease 3 stitches at once
Measurement: 19 cm / 7.5 in
