Discover the wonders of the sea with Cora the Mermaid and her little Octofriend! The mermaid is worked from the bottom up, from the fins to the head, all in one piece. The arms are attached as you crochet. This pattern has minimal sewing involved making it fun and quick to finish. Details are done with embroidery, and the highlight of the design is the curly hair achieved by splitting the Amigo Giga yarn.

The main part of this project is worked in rounds so you might want to use a stitch marker to mark the end of each round. There is no specific gauge for this project, just try to keep it tight and even throughout each piece. Cora the Mermaid measures approx. 10cm (4in), when using the same yarn/tools as indicated below.

- Hobbii Amigo Giga, 100% HB Acrylic, 150g / 95m, in Wisteria A58 (approx. 5g)
- 2.5 mm crochet hook for Friends Cotton 8/4
- 5 mm crochet hook for Amigo Giga
- 1 pair of 8 mm safety eyes
- 1 pair of 6 mm safety eyes
- Sewing thread or craft glue
- Toy stuffing
- Yarn needle
- Scissors

Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, magic ring, single crochet, increase, (invisible) decrease, half double crochet, back loops only, front loops only, bobble stitch, fastening off in the invisible way
