It’s still a long hard winter, but now that the days are (very) slowly lengthening again, these Feathered Friends can be heard tweeting and twittering in anticipation of all the spring glories to come. You’ll find them merrily chirping away in the winter sunshine or, on chillier days, snuggling up on their cosy bower seat, waiting for the clouds to pass. They’re such a friendly bunch of different species - proving that it’s not just birds of a feather that flock together!

Materials: Size C-2 / 2.5 mm and D-3 / 3 mm crochet hooks; light worsted weight yarn in various colors for the birds: Cockatoo (white, dark gray, light yellow, leftover of light blue), Lovebird (dark orange, mid orange, peach, light yellow, light green, dark green, red, leftover of white), Bald Eagle (white, dark brown, light brown, dark yellow, leftover of black), Cockatiel (light yellow, light gray, dark gray, white, peach, leftover of mid orange), Budgerigar (white, light blue, dark blue, light yellow, peach, black), Hoopoe (mid orange, black, white, dark gray), Bower Seat (beige, light brown, green, yellow, purple); 2 x 8 mm black safety eyes for each bird; yarn needle; scissors; pins; stitch markers; tweezers; polyester fiberfill; 3 plastic straws 5/16“ (8 mm) in diameter and 8.5“ (22 cm) long for the seat

Measurement: The birds are approximately 4.7" - 5.5" / 12-14 cm tall when made with the indicated yarn
