He is a very friendly and peaceful sort of a creature and loves to say hi to everyone he meets. His great big smiling face is so charming, no one can resist stopping for a chat.

This pattern is written with US crochet notation and is an advanced beginner level pattern, some crochet knowledge of basic stitches is required. Step by step photographs are provided throughout the pattern.

Using the materials suggested this narwhal measures 25cm (10in) long. Any yarn can be used with this pattern with an appropriate size crochet hook to create a tight tension, although other yarns may affect the size of the finished narwhal. Suggested materials: DK (8ply) 97% acrylic, 3% polyamide yarn (2 strands held together), 5mm crochet hook, toy stuffing, 10mm safety eyes and black stranded cotton.
