A Mandrake is the root of the plant itself called Mandragora. The mandrakes have long green leaves and produce purple flowers. Because of its hallucinogenic properties and its humanoid shaped roots, it has been associated with everything magical and rituals since 4 000 BC.
According too many legends, when a mandrake is dug up, its scream can kill anyone that can hear it. Grumple has to be treated properly in order for him to behave and not start his screaming fit! Consider yourself warned! ;)
I really hope you enjoy making Grumple the Mandrake as much as I had fun designing him!
