US English pattern by Diceberry Designs. Includes step-by-step pictures.
A sweet and dandy life is what Jimmy the Dog lives up to everyday. That's why it wasn't a surprise when he started a cotton candy business in the circus streets to bring smiles to children with his candy fluffs.
Jimmy the Candy Vendor Dog was inspired by the design contest for AmigurumiPatterns.net with the theme “Circus” back in 2015. He is a dog who beckons smiles from circus-goers with his sweet cotton candy treats.
The skill level for this pattern is intermediate. Jimmy is worked up in a continuous spiral and a little knowledge of amigurumi-building will help you with this project. There are some additional techniques used in this project, which are explained and included in the pattern. All recommended yarns can be interchanged or even substituted for something else if you have a similar worsted weight yarn and color available in your stash. The pattern includes all the pieces enough to make the dog vendor, the hat, the cart and the cotton candy - with some tutorial photos for visual aid.
Some notions are needed to make this project like: yarn needle, scissors, stuffing, 9mm safety eyes and nose, embroidery thread, super and fabric glue, thick craft felt, spare ribbons, colored wool and needlefelting tool. There are also instructions on how to make your own colored wool from yarn if you don’t have any felting wool in stock.
Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, magic ring, single crochet, increase, (invisible) decrease, half double crochet, double crochet, back loops only, triple crochet, crochet into a ring
Measurement: Dog Plushie is 21 x 10 cm (8.2 x 3.9"), hat is 8 cm (3") in diameter and cart is 14 x 9 x 6 cm (5.5 x 3.5 x 2.4")
