US English pattern by Handmade by Halime. Includes step-by-step pictures.

Humphrey the camel – Amigurumi camel / dromedary crochet pattern.

The English pattern is written in US crochet terms.

The pattern is straight forward and easy to follow. There will be youtube tutorials links on all special parts.
There is also lots of pictures in this pattern – lots of step by step images, especially on the special parts.

You also need to know the basic crochet skill for amigurumi, especially how to work in rounds or spiral. Some examples of stitches; single crochet, slip stitches, increases and decreases.

The fur (the camel with dark brown fur) is easily made and can be done by beginner crocheters without any problem. It might just take some time, but so worth it in the end. The fur is made with some chains and then slip stitch in next loop, and then you repeat this to the end.

Materials required:
- Regular yarn version: I used a cotton and acrylic blend DK weight yarn; Scheepjes Soft fun. I used approx. 1 skein (50 g) of the brown color (Tawny), and 1,5 skein (approx. 75 g) of the dark brown color (Pecan).
Furry yarn version: For the parts with regular yarn I used same yarn as above; 1 skein (50 g) of the brown color (Tawny) and less than a half skein of the dark brown color (Pecan) (dark brown is only used on the hoves and nose detail). For the furry yarn I used 1 skein of Lindehobby Velvet Soft* (100 g, Brown).
*This yarn might not be available in many countries, so I suggest to find something similar and use the picture (in the pattern) as reference. The braided thread (not the furry part) should be same size as the regular yarn. If you only find thin furry yarn, use double thread when crochet.
- Crochet hook 2.5 mm
- Fibrefill / toy stuffing
- Safety eyes, 12 mm
- Stitch marker, pins, scissor and embroidery needle

Size:
27 cm (10,6 inch) in height. (Note! When using 2.5 mm crochet hook and yarn above.)
