This Sweet Tootsie the tortoise pattern is my own design, when finished she measure's approx 6" tall ( when using recommended yarn and hook )

The pattern is quite straight forward I recommend it as a beginner pattern. The instructions are very detailed and easy to follow if you know the basic stitches and techniques used to make amigurumi . The PDF file includes lots of pictures to help you along. Written using U.S crochet terms.

You will need
3mm Crochet hook
50g of D.K/light worsted weight yarn in a colour of your choice for the shell
Small amount of cream colour (20g) for the head, legs and tail
( I used Drops cotton light )
6mm safety eyes
crayon (for the rosy cheeks)
Embroidery thread/cotton for sewing the hearts
Felt/fabric
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Toy stuffing
Sellotape
Pins

Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, magic ring, single crochet, increase, (invisible) decrease
Measurement: 15 cm / 6 inch tall
